By Li Fangfang (chinadaily.com.cn)
Updated: 2009-02-20 16:02 German premium carmaker Mercedes-Benz said on Friday that it sold 3,200 vehicles on the Chinese mainland in January, a year-on-year increase of 11 percent.
So far Mercedes-Benz has expanded its S-Class family to 10 models in China, providing local customers with the most extensive choice in the top-luxury saloon segment. The S-Class currently has a 41-percent share of the domestic luxury saloon market. The firm's SUVs also enjoyed fast growth in January, with sales rising 80 percent year-on-year. Two fuel price cuts over the past two months helped the SUV segment maintain its rapid growth in January. (For more biz stories, please visit Industries)
