China, Spain sign trade deals worth $320m

A Chinese business delegation led by Commerce Minister Chen Deming has signed trade deals worth $320 million with companies from Spain, according to the website of the Ministry of Commerce.

Spain is the third leg of the delegation's four-country procurement tour of Europe that started on Tuesday. The tour has already taken in Germany, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

The deals wrapped up in Spain covered aircraft simulators, auto parts, steel, textiles and marble.

China is Spain's largest trade partner outside the European Union, with bilateral trade reaching $26.16 billion in 2008. Chen said the figure should reach $40 billion in 2011.
