Sinohydro Corporation, China's largest builder for water conservation and hydropower plants, said it has won a $300 million order to build 486 km of roads in Sudan, according to a statement posted on the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) website.

The Stated-owned company, one of the 141 largest companies administered by SASAC, says it has become a leading contractor in Sudan's bridge and road construction market.

Sinohydro's overseas operating revenue went up to $1.8 billion in 2008, and its new orders intake from abroad totaled $3.6 billion that year, according to its website.
