Zhejiang sees signs of foreign trade recovery

Updated: 2009-04-18 10:49 Zhejiang province, an economic powerhouse in eastern China, saw signs of recovery in its foreign trade in March.
The import value was $4.11 billion, up 28.9 percent month-on-month but down 16.3 percent year-on-year. The decline rate was 1.2 percentage points lower than that for February. The province's total foreign trade volume amounted to $37.26 billion in the first quarter, down 19.3 percent from a year earlier.
