Economic and trade fair opens in Nanjing

The historic capital of East China's Jiangsu province holds its autumn economic and trade fair alongside a trade fair for Taiwan goods on September 17.

The former aims to introduce the city's investment environment to Fortune 500 and other multinational companies and help promote its service and manufacturing industries.

The latter is designed to introduce the mainland, and especially Nanjing, to Taiwanese businessmen, will see 600 companies attending and will feature roughly 30,000 different kinds of goods produced in Taiwan.

In addition, a forum for high-ranking Nanjing officials and international entrepreneurs will be held on September 18.

The fairs end on September 19.
