Chinese shares up more than 2% in morning trade

Chinese shares rose more than 2 percent in the morning session on Friday.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was up 2.13 percent to close at 3,023.46. The Shenzhen Component Index climbed 2.37 percent to 12,482.08 in the morning.
