China to issue five-year T-bonds at yield of 2.53%

BEIJING: China will sell 28 billion yuan (about $4.1 billion) of five-year book-entry treasury bonds on June 10 at a yield of 2.53 percent, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) said in a statement Wednesday.

The bonds will be sold on the national inter-bank bond market and stock market between June 10 and 11 and become tradable from June 18.

Interest will be calculated from June 10 and be paid annually.

The principal will be redeemed at maturity on June 10, 2015.

The bonds will be the 17th batch of book-entry T-bonds issued by the MOF this year.
