New arrival: Buick Excelle GT

Shanghai GM launched the compact model last week priced between 137,700 and 189,700 yuan.

The Buick Excelle GT has three engine options: the 1.8-liter and 1.6-liter ECO engine as well as the 1.6-liter turbocharged engine. Two transmission options are available, including a five-speed manual and a six-speed automatic.

The 1.6T version can reach a maximum output of 135kW and offer a top torque of 235 Nm. It can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in nine seconds and hit a top speed of 220 km/h.

The car is 4,671 mm long, 1,815 mm wide and 1,478 mm high. Its wheelbase is 2,685 mm. It goes head to head with the Volkswagen Sagitar, Ford Focus and Skoda Octavia.
