BEIJING - China's lottery sales for November rose 36.9 percent year-on-year to 16.02 billion yuan ($2.4 billion), the Ministry of Finance (MOF) announced Monday.
The November figure took sales of lottery tickets in the first 11 months of the year to 149.06 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 25.1 percent, the MOF said in a statement on its website.
According to China's Regulations on Lottery Management, money raised through lotteries is divided into three parts: the jackpot, lottery management fees, and lottery public funds.
