China's stocks close down Friday

BEIJING -- China's stocks dropped Friday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 1.29 percent, or 36.37 points, to finish at 2,791.34 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed down 1.04 percent, or 129.18 points, to end at 12,294.17 points.

Combined turnover expanded to 161.97 billion yuan ($24.58 billion) from 152.83 billion yuan on the previous trading day.
