HONG KONG - Hong Kong's total exports of goods rose 20.7 percent year on year in January, and the re- exports of goods grew 21.4 percent, the authority announced on Thursday.
The Census & Statistics Department of Hong Kong said the volume of imports increased 12.5 percent in January on a year-to-year basis, while the domestic exports fell 3.8 percent.

Comparing January with the same month last year, the price of re-exports of goods grew 6.7 percent while that of domestic exports rose 6.6 percent.
According to the department, total export volume to the Chinese mainland and the United States rose 22.3 percent and 20.6 percent respectively. The total export volume to Taiwan, Germany and Japan grew 16.7 percent, 9.4 percent and 4.9 percent respectively.
