Chinese stocks close lower Thursday

BEIJING - Chinese shares closed lower Thursday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 7.76 points, or 0.25 percent, to 3,042.64.

The Shenzhen Component Index dipped 110.16 points, or 0.84 percent, to 12,991.93.
