Chinese shares close mixed - May 24

BEIJING -- Chinese stocks closed mixed Tuesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.27 percent, or 7.51 points, to 2,767.06.

The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.07 percent, or 7.74 points, to close at 11,749.92.
