The Range_e hybrid by British luxury car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover will go on sale in China in 2014, said Bob Grace, the carmaker's CEO of China operations.
Making its Asian debut at the Guangzhou auto show, the first plug-in hybrid Land Rover produces only 89 grams of CO2 per kilometer and uses 3.36 liters of fuel in 100 kilometers, but can still reach a top speed of 193 km/h.
A diesel-electric hybrid designed for the European market, Range_e will be modified as a gasoline-electric hybrid for China.
