Cross-Straits textile and clothing expo to open in April

BEJING - The 15th Cross-Straits Textile and Clothing Fair will be held in the city of Shishi in southeast China's Fujian province from April 18 to 21, according to a Tuesday statement from the expo's organizing committee.
This year's event will focus on chemical fiber textiles, fashion trends, e-commerce and creative design, the statement said.
The four-day fair will also include runway shows for up-and-coming designers and introductions of new textile manufacturing equipment, the statement said.
The event will be jointly held by the Fujian Provincial government, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, China National Textile and Apparel Council, China National Garment Association, China Fashion Association and Taiwan Textile Federation.
