New Audi A4L
Launched last week, the redesigned model produced at Sino-German joint venture FAW Volkswagen has three engine options: 1.8-liter TFSI, 2.0-liter TFSI and 3.0-liter V6.
The 1.8-liter version, equipped with six-speed manual or eight-speed multitronic gearbox, generates peak power of 118kW/4500-6200rpm and offers maximum torque of 250Nm/1500-4500rpm.
It accelerates from zero to 100km/h in 8.3 seconds and has a top speed of 220km/h. Its comprehensive fuel consumption is 6.5 liters per 100km.
The 2.0-liter version, equipped with an 8-speed multitronic or 7-speed S tronic gearbox, produces maximum power of 132kW/4000-6000rpm and offers peak torque of 320Nm/1500-3900rpm.
It accelerates from zero to 100km/h in 8.3 seconds and its top speed is 230km/h.
It consumes 6.6 liters of gasoline per 100km.
The 3.0-liter version, equipped with 7-speed S tronic transmission, generates extreme power of 200kW/4780-6500rpm and boasts top torque of 400Nm/2500-4780rpm.
It accelerates from zero to 100km/h in only 6 seconds and runs at a maximum speed of 250km/h. Its comprehensive fuel consumption is 9.1 liters.
The new Audi A4, which goes head-to-head with BMW's locally made all-new long wheelbase 3 Series, retails between 272,800 and 578,100 yuan.
The A4L is 4,761mm long, 1,826mm wide and 1,439mm high. It has a 2,869mm wheelbase.
The model has a wider, more flat and hexagon grille.
FAW Volkswagen's Audi sales division expects the launch of new A4L to boost sales of the model to more than 10,000 units a month soon, up from nearly 9,000 units on average to date this year. Last year, sales of Audi A4L reached 85,000 units, half of the entire premium mid-sized segment in China.
