The Macworld iWorld Asia 2013 expo opened Thursday at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. The expo will be open until Aug 25.
The International Data Group and Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau organized this year's expo, its third arrival in China. In 2012, the expo attracted nearly 500 exhibitors and 15 million visitors, according to the organizers.
San Francisco hosted the first Macworld expo in 1985, and the four-day event has continued to run for the last 27 years in the second week of January at San Francisco's Moscone Center.
