Avaya, a global provider of business communications and collaboration systems and services, officially announced the launch of iConnect program in China on Tuesday in Beijing.

The packaged program, which will be rolled out throughout the approaching 2015 fiscal year, is designed to rapidly increase support for partners specializing in the mid-market, referring to small- and medium-sized enterprise (SME) market.

"For partners joining in the iConnect program, we will provide special marketing and technical training and help them to get certified,"said Lily Fu, channel director of Avaya (China) Communication Inc.

As one part of the Avaya's global channel partner program, iConnect speeds up the process of getting partners trained, certified and selling to customers in the mid-market.

"The program covers 16 certifications in united communication, video and data sectors," said Fu.

"The training part is the highlight of iConnect program, leading partners into the technical field that they are unfamiliar with and helping them grow rapidly," said Hu Zhidan, deputy manager of Shanghai-based 2UP IT Service Co Ltd, Avaya's new partner.

Avaya IP Office systems, the company's flagship collaboration solution for the mid-market and the core product of the iConnect program, saw consecutive growth in business for 19 quarters in China, said John Wang, Greater China Managing Director of Avaya.

"We will input more and hope to accelerate the growth of the mid-market in 2015 fiscal year, so we chose the timing of October 1, the beginning of the 2015 fiscal year, to launch Avaya iConnect program," said Wang.
