Evergrande Spring, one of China's leading natural mineral waters, has become the official water of German Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich.

The partnership was announced on Thursday before a friendly between the German side and Chinese Super League champion Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao.

“The partnership will help us better tap the European market which is in strong demand for high-end natural mineral water,” said Liu Yongzhuo, vice president of the Guangzhou-based property giant Evergrande Group which owns both Evergrande Spring and the football club.

Evergrande has so far opened 1.15 million stores in its water sales network since its launch in September 2013, when the Guangzhou soccer club first won the AFC Champions League title.

The match against the Chinese champions was the last stop on Bayern's preseason trip which also included matches against Valencia in Beijing and Inter Milan in Shanghai.
