Cars without drivers
Self-driving cars, though still at infancy, are a new but potentially disruptive technology under way. China's largest search engine Baidu announced recently to have successfully completed a fully autonomous road test with a modified BMW 3 Series.
With the tech giant's joining the group, the driverless car market could become increasingly red-hot as a host of technology companies seeking to establish themselves at the forefront of automotive technology developments. Media reports said that Google has been testing a driverless car on the road while Samsung has announced that it was establishing a new business group to research driverless technologies.
