No 3 Airbnb ($25.5 billion)
Airbnb raised $1.5 billion from investors in June 2015, giving it a valuation of $25.5 billion – larger than the market caps of hotel giants Marriott and Hilton. The San Francisco-based company, founded in 2008, connects travelers looking for accommodation with people who have a spare room or property to rent.
