The world's top 10 energy-efficient economies
Germany is the world's most energy-efficient country, according to a report released by the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE).
The 2016 International Energy Efficiency Scorecard, released by the ACEEE in July, examines the efficiency policies and performance of 23 different economies in four categories: buildings, industry, transportation, and overall national energy efficiency efforts. Together these economies represent 75 percent of all the energy consumed on the planet and over 80 percent of the world's gross domestic product (GDP) in 2013. Let's take a look at the top 10 energy-efficient economies.
