Chinese high-net-worth individuals (HNWI) favor the United States most when it comes to choosing overseas education for their children, according to a Hurun report.
The study, titled "Going Global: Trends of the Chinese HNWI 2016", shows that more than 1.3 million Chinese have assets worth over 10 million yuan ($1.45 million) as of May 2016, a 10.7 percent increase compared to last year.
According to the report, quality is the major reason for the wealthy to send their children to study abroad.
Becoming independent, social networking and building creativity were ranked second, followed by interests and hobbies.
