China's private investment up 5.8% in first 10 months
BEIJING - China's private fixed-asset investment increased 5.8 percent year-on-year in the first 10 months of this year, official data showed Tuesday.
The growth rate was lower than the 6 percent increase for the first nine months, the National Bureau of Statistics said.
From January to October, fixed-asset investment by the private sector reached 31.37 trillion yuan (about $4.73 trillion), said the NBS.
The amount accounted for 60.6 percent of the total fixed-asset investment, compared with 60.5 percent for the January-September period.
