Top 5 most popular smartphone brands in Indian market
Smartphone shipments in India rose to 27 million units in the first quarter of this year, up 14.8 percent year-on-year, according to market research company IDC.
Chinese brands continued to dominate the Indian market, with a combined market share of 51.4 percent in the first quarter, data from IDC showed.
South Korean phone maker Samsung remained the top seller, with shipments up 21.7 percent year-on-year and 16.9 percent quarter-on-quarter.
Xiaomi took second place, followed by Vivo, which saw shipments surge 44 percent compared to last quarter.
