Overseas direct investment

Until 2015, China's foreign direct investment has increased in 14 consecutive years, reaching $145.67 billion and ranking second in the world. From January to November in 2016, China's foreign direct investment was 1069.63 billion yuan, 55.3 percent higher than the same period in 2015, involving over 160 countries and regions worldwide. Chinese enterprises completed 561 overseas mergers and acquisitions with the transaction value up to $82.4 billion.

At the beginning of 2016 there were more than 1900 90,000 people. Chinese investment is win-win: U.S. businesses which attract foreign investment are more likely to expand, add employees, and earn greater profits.
