BEIJING - Chinese shares closed higher on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 19 points, or 0.93 percent, to finish at 2,070.72.
The Shenzhen Component Index gained 101.54 points, or 1.39 percent, to close at 7,401.35.
