The all-new sedan that recently arrived as an import has a wheelbase of 3050 mm, 150 mm longer than the standard model, and is only available in China to meet local demand for roomier cars.
The model retails between 498,000 yuan and 818,000 yuan. It has two engine options - 2.5-liter V6 and 3.5-liter V6 petrol-electric hybrid - and is equipped with 7-speed automatic gearbox.
The 2.5-liter version has maximum power of 173kW/6400rpm and top torque of 253Nm/4800rpm. The 3.5-liter version's petrol engine generates maximum power of 240kW/6800rpm and boasts top torque of 350Nm/5000rpm. Its electric motor's maximum power and torque amount to 50kW and 270Nm.
The M long wheelbase is 5,095 mm long, 1,845 mm wide and 1,500 mm high.
According to Andy Palmer, executive vice-president of both Infiniti and its parent company Nissan Motor Co, the all-new model is considered an important product for Infiniti to appeal to much "younger and cooler" luxury customers in China than Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
