Beijing will not block the streets or use squad cars during the upcoming political sessions so as to guarantee smooth traffic, Beijing News reported Friday citing Beijing Traffic Management Bureau.

Traffic information and control measures will be broadcast through radio and traffic display screens. Information will be made public two hours before each plenary session's commencement, and one hour before its closure.

Official and civilian cars will pass major crossings in turn.

Civilian cars driving along the delegates' traffic route will be allowed to pass during a certain period while delegates are on the way to the Great Hall of People for meetings.

Delegates' vehicles will avoid heavy traffic areas when travelling to the 30 meeting sites across Beijing.

The delegates' time of departure and travel speed will be carefully monitored and controlled, among other measures adopted by the Security Department for the NPC and CPPCC.
