Yang Jie resigns from SGMW
Updated: 2013-11-12 11:16LIUZHOU, Guangxi -- Yang Jie, former assistant to president of SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co Ltd (SGMW) and president of SGMW Sales Co Ltd (SGMW Sales), resigned his post for personal reasons, according to a company release on September 30.
Xiao Jianbin, vice president and commercial department director of SGMW, succeeded Yang's post to charge the company’s sales business.

Yang had been worked at SGMW for 16 years. Yang joined the company in 1997 and served as engineer, seller, sales manager, network director, marketing and network manager.
Yang was appointed president of SGMW Sales in 2009 and under his leadership, the company’s sales surpassed 1 million units in the same year -- the first Chines OEM which achieved sales of over 1 million vehicles in a year.
With the launch of microvan Wuling Hongguang and the Baojun brand passenger car, SGMW sold more than 1.45 million vehicles in 2012, and ranked No. 1 for seven concessive years in microvan segment.
According to CBU-Autostats, SGMW sold 1,168,486 vehicles in the first three quarters, with a year-on-year growth of 8.17 percent.
