Business leaders from Zhejiang province met in Shanghai on Sunday for the ninth general meeting of the Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce, discussing enterprise development and the the Chinese economy.
Zhejiang provincial governor Li Qiang said "the most valuble resources in Zhejiang are its entrepreneurs," and that he expected them to develop not only a domestic market but also an overseas one.
Ma Yun (Jack), founder and chairman of Alibaba Group Holding, said: "The Internet is accelerating globalization. Doing business today is not only using resources in China, but also resources from the entire world."
There are many opportunities to help upgrade Chinese industries, through bringing advanced technologies, great companies and excellent products to the market, according to Zheng Yonggang, chairman of the board of ShanShan Investment Holding Co Ltd.
An example is carmaker Infiniti which is bringing its production base to Hubei province through a joint venture with Dongfeng Auto Motor Corp.
Dongfeng Infiniti Motor Co has launched two stretched models this year - the long-wheelbase Q50L and QX50. The luxury carmaker realized a sales volume of 26,717 units in the first 11 months, a surge of nearly 80 percent compared with the same period last year.
Dongfeng, one of the largest Chinese automotive groups, has expanded its locally-produced models to premium markets.
The Hong Kong headquartered company has localized its strategy in brand, manufacturing and products, according to Daniel Kirchert, general manager of Dongfeng Infiniti.
Infiniti provided QX80 cars as the official vehicle for guests, as it expects to share its "gan ai" (Dare to Love) spirit with Chinese business leaders.
