Automechanika Shanghai, Asia's largest trade fair for automotive parts that is enjoying its second year in an expanded venue, showcases accessories, equipment and services.
The show, which is the second-largest of its kind in the world, will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Puxi, Shanghai, from Nov 30 to Dec 3.
Covering more than 306,000 square meters of exhibition space, 5,700 exhibitors from 39 countries and regions and more than 120,000 visitors from 140 countries and regions are expected to attend the exhibition.
Automechanika Shanghai aims to stay connected to the automotive industry and convey that idea through the entire industry chain.
This is represented through four detailed and comprehensive industry sectors: parts and components, repair and maintenance, accessories and customizing, and electronics and systems.
The electronics and systems sector was added last year and is expected to exhibit the latest trends in connectivity, alternative drives, automated driving and mobility services. Complementing these trends will be a series of events such as seminars and product displays.
In addition to the new sector, the show also welcomes new pavilions and overseas exhibitors. More major brands, both local and from overseas, are recognizing the great potential of participating in the event. This is a great opportunity to take advantage of the Chinese market and broaden the international scope of a company.
Many of last year's exhibitors plan to return and increase the size of their booths and the presence of their companies to take full advantage of what the exhibition offers.
Also increasing in size is the fringe program. Last year's program included 53 exclusive events during the four-day show, which was an increase of 40 percent from 2014. The program continues to grow as more people in the industry recognize Automechanika Shanghai as the premier platform for information exchange.
The program focuses on the auto parts supply chain, repair and maintenance chains, insurance, modification parts and technologies, new energy and remanufacturing.
Since Automechanika Shanghai began in 2004, it has become a world-renowned automotive industry event. It is a place to build a brand, network with peers, generate business, as well as learn more about the Asian market.
In addition to Automechanika Shanghai, the organizers are coordinating CAPAS, the Chengdu International Trade Fair for Automotive Parts and Aftermarket Services.
CAPAS 2016 will be held from May 19 through 21 in Chengdu, Sichuan province. More than 730 exhibitors from around the world and 16,000 global buyers are expected to attend this event for the promising automotive market in Southwest China.
