TrustGo

Founded: 2011

The mobile security company has developed an antivirus app to safeguard personal data on smartphones. It was bought by China's search engine giant Baidu for $30 million in 2013.

System AI

Founded: 2014

System AI uses artificial intelligence technology to help hospitals analyze data to improve efficiency. The company has yet to disclose detailed financial information.

Founded: 2013

The company has developed a smart case that can be attached to the back of mobile devices. It has multi-touch technology that enables users to operate smartphones and tablets without obscuring the screen with their hands.

Darma

Founded: 2014

The company makes smart seat cushions packed with hidden sensors. They can monitor breathing patterns and stress levels as well as your posture when sitting in a chair.

SherpaShare

Founded: 2014

The company has rolled out a smartphone app to help part-time taxi drivers who work for companies such as Uber. The app can track mileage, time on the road, income and tax deductions. In May, it raised $700,000 in seed capital.
