ISLAMABAD - Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain will attend the 2nd World Internet Conference to be held in Wuzhen City of China from December 16 to 18, the Foreign Ministry said Friday.
Chinese President Xi Jinping will deliver a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the conference, a Foreign Ministry statement said.
On the sidelines of the World Internet Conference, the Pakistani president will hold a bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping to discuss issues of common interest, it said.
"Pakistan's participation in the conference will help Pakistan address its cyber security issues and enhance cooperation for beneficial use of internet technology," the Foreign Ministry said.
The purpose of the conference is to serve as a platform for building a cyberspace community of shared destiny, advocate worldwide respect for diversity and to forge consensus and confronting risks to cyber security jointly.
