A1 The most important things, in my eyes, are to govern cyberspace, clean up improper comments, make the online environment healthier and put the industry in order. This is a very difficult task, given the vast number of Internet users in China.

A3 We should both respond and take practical action when Western countries accuse us of attacking their networks. In governing the world's cyberspace, we should improve our technological infrastructure. We must have our own tempo in governing cyberspace and protecting it from online attacks.
A4 China will have a safe Internet infrastructure and advanced technological applications in the near future. We are facing severe competition. More cooperation is needed with the United States in cyberspace, but I think we'll proceed at our own pace instead of catching the US' tempo if we can solve security problems. In addition, the more developments the Internet achieves, the more benefits other industries will receive.
