MADRID - Chinese telecommunications giant, Huawei, on Friday confirmed some of the launches it will be making at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) to be held in Barcelona during the coming week.
Huawei is to present solutions for 4.5G, IoT (Internet of Things) and Safe City, among other innovations, with the aim of "helping global telecommunications operators and companies to achieve more agile innovation" in the digital era.
The 4.5G technology will allow for mobile broadband of up to a megabit/second, allowing high definition (HD) voice and video 2K/4K resolution, as well as virtual reality experiences.
Meanwhile, Huawei will also present GigaRadio, a key product which will help speed up the worldwide use of 4.5G, and which is expected to be implemented on a wide scale this year.
Huawei aims for its IoT solutions to generate "new opportunities in measurement business and intelligent parking, logistics, and smart cities."
Finally, Huawei will also be showcasing its Safe City solutions which are created to use IoT and mobile broadband technology to establish intelligent video-surveillance systems in towns and cities with the aim of allowing authorities to prevent crisis and react more rapidly to emergencies.
