Mobile World Congress, running from Feb 22-25 at the Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, is a longstanding event which showcases the latest technology trends in the mobile sector, with Chinese companies well to the fore.
This year, Chinese exhibitors Huawei and ZTE are showing their latest electronic consumer devices, including Huawei's MateBook, MatePen and ZTE's Spro Plus, the center of much attention both for visitors and people following events online.
According to the organizers, GSMA, more than 2,100 companies are gathered under one roof to display cutting-edge technology, and the show is expected to draw more than 95,000 visitors from 200 countries.
"We realize that, these days, everything is mobile. Money, health, education, communication, security and home automation. There are very few things being created today that don’t somehow have a mobile component to them, " according to GSMA, "So not only is everything mobile, but mobile is everything."
