People are rushing to buy medical and disease insurance policies as a newly
released health insurance regulation stipulates that health insurance will no
longer include survival benefits as of September 1.
When selling policies to protect against losses caused by medical bills and
diseases, insurers will no longer be able to include survival benefits,
according to the new regulation issued by China Insurance Regulatory Commission
(CIRC).
Since CIRC released the rules on August 14, the sale of health insurance
policies with survival benefits has increased in some cities. It rose 40 percent
in Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, according to the Chongqing Evening
News.
