Express giants vie for retail channels

As China fulfilled its World Trade Organization (WTO) entry commitments to open up its express delivery industry, global express giants, including UPS, DHL, FedEx and TNT, adjusted their strategies on the Chinese mainland to expressretailchannels from transportation network layout.

FedEx joined hands with Kodak. FedEx introduced "FedEx Self-service Counters" in Kodak Express Stores, offering more efficient and convenient international express services to customers. At present, the service is available inBeijing,Shanghaiand Guangzhou.

UPS retail stores debuted in Shanghai on August 2. Located in the heart of the Hongqiao and Lujiazui central business districts, the two UPS Express stores provide commercial offices and small businesses with convenient and quick access to its package drop-off and pickup services.
