Chinese shares open lower on April 25

Chinese shares started lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index opening at 3,708.57 points, down 11.96 points, or 0.32 percent.

The index, which tracks both yuan-denominated A shares and hard-currency B shares traded on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, closed at 3,720.53 points on Tuesday.
