Continental Airlines Inc of the US said it reached a marketing agreement with China Southern Airlines Co, as flights between the two countries are set to more than double.

The accord allows customers to book connecting flights on both carriers using one ticket and earn frequent-flyer miles on either airline, Continental said. Joint frequent-flyer benefits will begin in September and the flight marketing agreement in November, it said.
