China Mobile strives for return to A-share market(Xinhua)
Updated: 2007-10-16 11:54 Wang Jianzhou, general manager of China Mobile, one of the biggest telecom service providers in China, said in Beijing Monday that his company is striving for return to the A-share market in the Chinese mainland.
Because of being listed in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange as a red chip company, Wang said, the process of returning to the A-share market is a little complicated. He also said that the third-generation mobile networks under construction in the eight cities are solely based on the TD-SCDMA technology, which was developed indigenously. China promises to provide the third-generation mobile networks to cities where 2008 Olympic events would be held, including Beijing, Shanghai and Qingdao. |
