French car maker Renault will unveil three models at the forthcoming 2008 Beijing Auto Show, including its latest generation Laguna, Megane coupe and the F1 R28.

The third generation Laguna was first showcased at last year's Frankfurt Motor Show. The five door sedan first came on the market in 1993, and the second generation followed in the year 2000.

The new Laguna will measure 10 cm more in overall length than its predecessor, and it will be powered by fuel- and Diesel engines ranging from 115 to 245 HP. The latter is a V 6 3,5 litre powerplant from Nissan which is already being used in the Espace and Velsatis.

Measuring in at 4,51m or 177.5-inches in length, the Megane coupe concept is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine delivering 200 Hp and is mated with a six-speed manual gearbox. The big gullwing doors are the most obvious element but may have no way to go into production.

According to the French carmaker, while the prototype coupe sprints from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.2 sec, it manages to deliver an avg fuel consumption of just 6.5 lt / 100 km or 36.2 MPG (US).

Renault first unveiled the new R28 in Paris on Jan 31st this year. Renault says the new R28 was a more complete redesign from last year's model, which evolved from the one before that. They've incorporated a zero-keel suspension mounting, and a set-up designed to take better advantage of the standardized Bridgestone tires introduced last year.
