Korean Air plans to provide services to over 30 Chinese cities by 2010, especially cities in less-developed western regions of the country, said J. H. Chae, regional manager of Korean Air's Beijing Office.

The aviation negotiation between China and the Republic of Korea will kick off in January 2009. Korean Air expects China to open more cities in the west.

Korean Air owns 126 aircrafts and is among the top 20 biggest airlines in the world. China has become the most important overseas market for the carrier.
