Hong Kong stocks close 2.3% lower on Thursday

Hong Kong stocks widened its losses to close at 13,228.3 on Thursday, down 310.91 points, or 2.3 percent.

Turnover remained thin at HK$39.64 billion ($5.08 billion), slightly lower than Wednesday's HK$39.91 billion.
