Outsourcing firms merge to tap big market

MDT InfoTech, one of the leading offshore software outsourcing companies in China, announced its merger completion on March 31 with another China-based outsourcing company, CapInfoTech.

At the completion of the merger, MDT InfoTech will have strengthened its core business in offshore software outsourcing, technical onsite services, and IT consulting.

"The successful merger has greatly improved MDT's core competency, business scalability, geographic markets and vertical industries coverage, and technical capabilities," said Henry Wang, president of MDT InfoTech.

Martin Lou, president at CapInfoTech said, "CapInfoTech built a business partnership with MDT InfoTech in 2008. Executives from both companies soon found that outsourcing business of the two companies would have significant complementary advantages. "

"What we are trying to do through the merger is to overcome the short-term difficulty and get prepared for the economic recovery as a stronger and faster company," he added.
