Chinese shares up nearly 1% on G20 deal

Chinese shares opened 0.86 percent higher Friday morning over an aid package agreed by the world's major economies to help revive the global economy.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index went up 0.86 percent to 2,446.12. The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.79 percent to 9,374.85 at the opening.

World leaders at the G20 summit on London boosted markets when they announced an additional $1 trillion to support the International Monetary Fund and promote trade.
