China's Ministry of Commerce on Wednesday said its doors are still open to foreign investors looking to make mergers and acqusitions in the country.

The comments by Yao Jian, ministry spokesman, were the latest in a series of statements by Chinese officials seeking to reassure foreign firms after the government rejected Coca-Cola's bid for top local juicemaker Huiyuan last month.
