Hong Kong stocks close 3.70% higher

With market sentiment boosted by resilient Chinese economy and positive earnings reports from the US, Hong Kong shares finished with a ten-month high on Monday and beached the 19,000-mark.

The blue-chip Hang Seng Index surged 699.71 points, or 3.70 percent, to close at 19,502.37, after trading between 19,506.42 and 18,960.54.

The turnover totaled HK$77.73 billion($10.04 billion) compared with last Friday's HK$66.19 billion.
