Updated: 2009-03-09 12:36 China's central government has worked out a long-term real estate development plan and will make it public after Oct 1, according to Qi Ji, vice minister of housing and urban-rural development. Qi made the remarks on Friday while attending the proposal discussion at the annual session of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). "The plan, covering from the development to consumption stage, is partly aimed to address the job problems of migrant workers," Qi was quoted by Beijing Business Today as saying. The construction sector usually employs around 30 million migrant workers. "To maintain the situation, we have to do something to ensure the property investment and development," Qi added.
